Here is how this works in practice. Look development for Brazilian shoots starts at the production-design and DP level and travels through the colour pipeline. We work with DPs and colourists across São Paulo and Rio at Quanta Pós-Produção, Vermes Vermelhos, O2 Filmes, Casablanca Studios, Conspiração, and Gullane to design look reels, tracking LUTs (on-set CDLs, daylight balance LUTs for tropical light), and ACES-managed pipelines from camera negative through final delivery.
Here is the layout. On the ground, brazilian environments demand specific design attention: equatorial Amazonian green, sertão dust-orange (the Bacurau palette), favela laje hot-light contrast (the City of God lineage), Pelourinho cobblestone warm-pastel (Salvador Bahia), Iguazu mist and water vapour, Rio carnival saturation, and São Paulo metropolitan grey-blue. DaVinci Resolve Studio and Baselight LUT-design rooms support the look development phase. With calibrated reference tracking on Sony BVM-HX310, Flanders Scientific XM-310K, and EIZO ColorEdge displays.
